Troop Leadership

Troop 26 is comprised of many community and business leaders who have volunteered to lead and inspire our great young men. The leaders of our troop are:

Brady Anderson (Scoutmaster / Committee Member) – Brady is currently a member of the Manila 13th Ward where he serves in the bishopric. Brady, a former Eagle Scout and active member of the Scouting community, was elected to be the new Scoutmaster of Troop 26 in December 2022. His son Corbin, who loves camping and hiking, is a member of the troop.

Patrick Oborn (Committee Organizer, Assistant Scoutmaster) – Patrick received his Masters in Electrical Engineering from BYU in 1998, and is the founder of Telarus, headquartered in Sandy with 400 employees. An Eagle Scout and ultra-marathon competitor, he is also the founder of the Outdoor Adventure Foundation, our chartering non-profit organization, and currently serves on our Finance Committee. His son Jake is a member of the troop.

Harold Jepsen (Advancement Chair) – Harold is the former Stake Young Men’s President of the Manila Stake as well as Stake Trek Coordinator. Harold, who attended the World Jamboree as a youth, is Woodbadge-trained and friend of Scouting. Harold organizes our monthly Merit Badge and Advancement nights and is a proud father of three Eagle Scouts.

Wayne Pierson (Committee Chairman) – Wayne is currently a member of the Manila 13th Ward, and a recent move-in from Oregon, where he was a Chairman of the Cascade Pacific Council for the past three years. Wayne is a Silver Beaver, former Scoutmaster, and third-generation Eagle Scout.

Brad Wilson (Committee Member) – Brad is a former Elders Quorum President of the Manila 1st ward and former scoutmaster of Troop 26. Brad is the father of 3 Eagle Scouts and is an avid geocaching and outdoor enthusiast.

Other Troop 26 Committee members and volunteers include: Ken Murdock (Outdoor Activities Coordinator) and Phil Richards (Council Liaison of the Outdoor Adventure Foundation).
